Describe your style of play?

I am very direct and like to get at my opposition. I also like to create opportunities for others and score goals.

You are currently on loan at Barnsley, how do you think this will benefit you before you return to Middlesbrough?

I think it will benefit me because I will gain experience of 'real men's football' as they say. When I come back to Middlesbrough, I will be ready to play in front of the crowd and it will also help me to deal with mistakes.

You scored your first professional league goal for Barnsley against Walsall on the 56th minute, can you explain to us how this felt?

I can't really describe the feelings and emotions that I went through but scoring my first Football League goal for Barnsley was unbelievable.

''Harry Chapman got 8 assists and 3 goals in 6 appearances in the UEFA Youth League''

You have been profilic with the goals and assists this season, which goal would you say is the most memorable out of them all and why?

My most memorable goal was the Torino goal in the UEFA Youth League at home because of the reaction it got.

What are your goals for the rest of the season?

My goals are to hopefully keep progressing at Barnsley and keep getting experience. Hopefully help Barnsley to the play-offs and the Johnstone Paint Trophy or even better, automatic.

What are your best football achievements so far?

My best achievement so far was probably getting an England call up.

Who was your idol growing up and the player you looked up to?

I looked up to Steven Gerrard even though we don't have the same playing style but I just admired how he went about the game.

What is your long term aim?

My long term aim is to play for Middlesbrough first team in the Premier League.

What is the best advice you have been given?

The best advice I've had is to go about my football day by day and give my best and never come off the pitch thinking that I could have done better.

Aside from football, what are your hobbies?

Apart from football, I like to play golf and socialise with my mates, just play golf for fun.

Who is your biggest influence?

My biggest influence is my family.

You were with Middlesbrough first-team in pre season in which you played against York City. How was that as an experience?

It was a very good experience being with them, I learnt a lot of things and enjoyed it.

What Middlesbrough Under-21 coach Paul Jenkins told Teesside Gazette on Harry Chapman:

"Harry is one of many players who has made good progress both in possession of the ball, and more importantly for me, his work rate without the ball. He can set the world alight with his individual talent, I'm even more delighted with his understanding and his contribution to the team. He can be as good as he wants to be, but he needs to keep his head down, work hard and understand that he's part of a team. His individual talent will always catch people's eye,

that's for sure, but he needs to keep going."

What Barnsley Interim manager Heckingbottom told Barnsleyfc.co.uk about Harry Chapman's performance against Walsall on 05/03/2016:

“He was a threat on the counter attack, his understanding of the game was very good. He’s got a good head on young shoulders and the positions he took off the ball caused them problems. It was his anticipation and positioning that enabled him to counter and score a great goal.”

Is there any player at your club who is always willing to give good advice?

At Middlesbrough I think you can go to any player in the first team and ask for advice and no one would turn you down, it's a very together group and club.

Who is the best opponent you have come up against?

The best player I played against this year was Andros Townsend, he was just so athletic and the way he approached the game was good, he never stopped for the full 90 minutes.

You have international caps at England U18 level. What is it like playing for your country?

You can't really describe the feeling you get when playing for your country it's just such a honour and a great experience.
